PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

Elisa graduated from Melbourne’s RMIT University with a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) and a Bachelor of Media and Communication (Honours)with Distinction in 2011.

Her first experience in the newsroom was as an intern at the her local newspaper, The Pakenham Gazette, where she worked throughout her first and second year of university.

In her third and honours years, she worked as a casual journalist at The Melbourne Weekly

After graduating, she began working at Australian Bride Magazine and continued working as a features writer at the publication until she joined her husband in the Maremma, Tuscany.

She works as a freelance journalist, contributor and columnist for numerous online and print publications in Italy and Australia, as well as her own travel website, Maremma-Tuscany.

She authored a guidebook on the Maremma Tuscany in 2016. It was published by Effigi Publishing.

In 2016, she also became deputy editor at The Florentine. She is currently the editor of Australian Design Review and its print publication inside magazine in Melbourne, Australia.  where she worked until returning to Melbourne in August 2019.
