Elisa graduated from Melbourne’s RMIT University with a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) with Distinction and Honours in 2011.

Her first experience in the newsroom was as an intern at the her local newspaper, The Pakenham Gazette, where she worked throughout her first year of university.

In her second and third year, she worked as a paid intern at The Melbourne WeeklyAnd in her honours year, she became a paid intern at Australian Bride Magazine

After graduating, she began working at Australian Bride Magazine and continued working as a features journalist at the publication until becoming Lifestyle and Beauty editor at Meld Magazine. Soon after, she joined her husband in the Maremma, Tuscany.

Since 2007, she has worked as a freelance journalist, contributor and columnist for numerous online and print publications in Italy and Australia.

She authored a guidebook on the Maremma Tuscany in 2016. It was published by Effigi Publishing.
